Days of Earthly Exile by Alexandra Sashe Nina Bogin when Æthelstan’s army defeated anAlexandra Sashe is a Russian poet who now lives in Austria, and writes in English, her fourth language. This is her third collection, all from Shearsman, following Antibodies (2014) and Convalescence Dance (2017). A poet whose work is infused with a kind of religious ecstasy, her work has its roots in the work of Paul Celan and the mystical thinkers of the Eastern Church.
